HONOR
Santa Rosa County is blessed with one of the finest school districts in the state of Florida. Over 2,000 teachers dedicate their days to ensure that the district’s 29,000 plus students are inspired to reach their full potential. Year after year, these educators and students prove their success by ranking as a top district throughout the state in academics. Santa Rosa County’s high performing school system positively impacts its ability to attract new businesses and families.
CELEBRATE
On March 8, 2024, teachers, administrators, business leaders, and friends will gather to present awards to our Teachers of the Year and honor all of Santa Rosa County’s outstanding educators. The Golden Apple Awards will be held at The Saenger Theatre and continues the tradition of leaving educators feeling respected, honored, and rejuvenated. Last year, we had over 500 community members attend this uplifting event and with our growing educator family, expect an even larger audience this year.
SHINE
Support from our community is one of the reasons that Santa Rosa County attracts and retains quality educators while providing an excellent education for its students. Any profits from the event’s ticket sales will be used to support Teacher Grants, thereby placing much needed materials into the hands of students. This year, SREF’s Teacher Grant program will fund over $65,000 in classroom grant projects to motivate and inspire while increasing student achievement.
