At the Santa Rosa Education Foundation, we proudly manage the Florida Department of Education's Teacher of the Year Program for the Santa Rosa School District. This distinguished program honors exceptional classroom teachers who demonstrate an outstanding ability to foster a love of learning in students of various backgrounds and abilities.
Since its inception in 1988, the Teacher of the Year Program has grown into a prestigious accolade, attracting participants from all 72 public school districts in Florida and beyond. Santa Rosa County, home to one of Florida's premier school districts, is fortunate to have over 2,000 dedicated teachers who tirelessly inspire the 29,000-plus students to reach their full potential. The consistent academic success of our educators and students positions Santa Rosa County as a top-performing district in the state, positively impacting our community's ability to attract new businesses and families.
Every October, schools select a nominee for the Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year, representing a commitment to learning, innovation, inspiration, and the pursuit of excellence in Santa Rosa Schools. From this outstanding group, one teacher is chosen as Santa Rosa's nominee for Florida Teacher of the Year.
Join us at the annual Golden Apple Awards Celebration, hosted by the Santa Rosa Education Foundation, where we honor Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year nominees and celebrate the dedication of all educators in the Santa Rosa School District.
